No 3. Chelsea Cowan, Flute

Today, I went to Auditorium in Music building at 2 p.m. because there had recital for Flute. I thought " today is sunday and begin to recital does early..so many people aren't coming to Auditorium" but when recital time come, then a lot of people come to here.some people had a flowers. Also I thought " Is she famous??". I saw her recital. It is wonderful. Her recital made me so enjoy. Then I will know that why a lot of people came here. After hour, culminate about recital for flute then everyone were standing ovation. she looks happy. After minute, She was beginnig to encor.The tittle of song 'Swan song'. It was wonderful too. I'm still like to hear from my ears.

Coeffee Hour

Today 3-25-11 I went to the coffee hour in international center after finished my classes in ELC. I took with some people about my country. Some people asked me, what exactly happened there. Because them don't understand what happing. I told them about the news in my country. After that I drank some coffee with some people, and i lived international center to my home.

International Coffee Hour ( The ninth event by Mathkur )

On March 25, I went to International Coffee Hour. I talked with many people from different culture. First of all, I talked with Dr. Enos . She is working in Student Affairs and Services Adjunct Assistant Professor, Educational Administration. She was very nice. She asked me aboutmy family, and If I need some help here. Then I asked her about to get on the TOEFL test and She told me about it. She also talked about Community Relations Coalition program. This program about everything you need to know about Parking and Transportation, Around Town, Trash and Recycling, Moving and Utilities, Rental Information, Know the Laws, Chore List, Responsible Partying, Community Resources, Game Day, Health and Safety. Second, I talked with Korean students. They asked me about my major, When I came to United States, and I also asked them. We talked a long time . Third, I talked with this person that in the picture. He asked me about my country. He said for me , he does not know anything about my country exept the oil. I,m glad that I talk with many people there.

The comedy with Josh ( The eighth event by Mathkur )

On March 18, I went to International Center at 8:30 pm. When I arrived there, the place was crowded by a lot of people. I waited outside the building half hour because there was crowd of people there. While we are entering into the building, they give us a five dollars coupon to buy any thing from Subway resaurent, so I got free food and I got amazing show ( It was a nice day ). Josh has spoken a lot of jokes. He was a funny man. He told us a lot of the stories funny. He said, If someone want to participate in giving some jokes on the stage. Then shall submit four students to participate and the winner got on T-shirt gift. At the end of the event I took a picture with Josh comedian and I'm happy for that. It was really a nice time. I spent a great time there.

International Coffee Hour ( The seventh event by Mathkur )

On March 18, I went to the coffee hour at 4:00 pm. There was a presentation about the Iranian new year. They talked about this day is called Nawrus ( NAW, mean New - Happy Persian New Year). The Persian year starts at the beginning of spring season by the Iranian calendar. The peoples of Central Asia participated the Iranian people this holiday, while retaining a high degree of exellence in the details of the celebration of Nawrus day. This day begins with prayers and then the Iranian family meet on the dining table. Also decorate their homes basins of ornamental fish at diffenent colors. All the family members wear new clothes. Some of them prefer to travel inside or outside Iran and Exchange of congratulations during the visit with flowers and sweets. Ilearned a lot from this event and now I know a lot about Iranian culture.

International Coffee Hour 5 ( The final (12) event )

On 25 March I went to International Center to talk and make relationship

with new people . This time I was feel more exciting to talk to interesting

persn and have a niceconversation. I talked to Mrs. Pat from US .She said

they have program in East Lansing .This program about community

relations coalition which is help to sponsor andsupport social and

informational event . She said one of goals to cooperateand make relationships

between people in East Lansing . Another goals to helpto know laws

,transportation,game day and health saftey .When I asked herif I want

ask about good places to visit she said this program to help student

and reasidents of East Lansing about anything they want to know . I really

happy to Mrs.Pat and I learn alot about the program . I'm glad .

No 2, Royce Phillips Jr., Sexophone In a Student Recital

I went to Music Building after wednesday workshops because today have student recital for Sexophone.The recital was begin to at 6 P.M. from Hart Reacital Hall in MSU. The recital had all 4 part. First, playing Sexophone With Piano. Second, recital for Sexophine. Third, playing Sexophone with Guital(Jazz guital). And last Fourth, playing Sexophone with Piano. The recital for Sexophone was so great.really good.

International Coffee Hour 4 ( The eleventh event )

On 18 March..I went to International Center . I was excited to talk and make relationship with different people and different nationality . First of all , there was an Iranian person gave presentation about the new year in Iran that happen on 21 March . In general He was talking about the tredation and culture . Then I met him and I asked him what is the special In this day and he said becaus it agree with the beginning of spring .On other side I met someone from China . He was friendly and nice to talk with .

His major is Business whic is my major too . I really had

fun with Eugene and I'm glad to meet new people and spent time with them .

Josh comedian ( The tenth event)

On 18 March in International Center .There was interesting event .

It is Josh Comedian . First of all, there were alot of people came to

watch the show . They give us a small paper for free food , so student

can buy from Subway restaruent (five dollars)and enjoy to watch

the show. It was really amazing show . Josh was telling some funny

joks . I was laughing hard . Then Josh was telling some funny stories .

and people were laughing while we were listing and eating some food .

He has special ability to make smile and the performance was high .

Then he asked if anyone want to participate and tell joke . The winner

will get T-Shitr . On T-Shirt wrote Josh name. Some student interacted

with the event . It was really nice joks . I like this show and I had

great funny time .

Coffee Hour (February 18, 2011)

On the date of 02.18.2011, I went for the first time to the International Center to attend the coffee hour, and I did not know where the place at first glance, so I called one of my friends who was also present. The place was crowded with a lot people from different countries with different cultures, I was meet some students, One of them he was a student from Japan was in the program of a special course, when I met him, he told me that at the end of his stay in America, where he will return to Japan in the near future, where Was a very nice person and we talked about the MSU, his major is mechanical engineering.

Famous Dancing

On the date of 02.15.2011, on the evening, I went to the International Center to attend the famous Salsa dance, which was coincided with Valentine's Day, it was the night special, he had attended a lot of people of different ages, I saw many of the dances that they include movements arranged, where she spoke with one of them told me they rely on counting their steps in the order of certain pre-agreed, and trained before. In conclusion, it was an enjoyable night, where it was a need to do the effort because they rely on the movements can be described as movements in sports and it needs to high fitness.

On the date of 02/12/2011, I went to the "Day of Yoga" with my friends and we had attended the event, where I was the first time to know how can I do this kind of sport, it was actually fun, where they include movements very difficult not easy to do that. And everyone knows that a healthy mind in a sound body.

Coffee Hour (March 18, 2011)

Today 18/03/2011, 04:30, I went to the International Centre (coffee hour), where there were many students from countries around the world as it all at once, and there was an important event, a group of students from Iran, they have a view on Iran and the New Year in Iran, where he was March 21. I met with one of the Iranian students, who answered some questions, I had asked him about the event and a series of questions about Iran, he said, this date precisely because it is the beginning of spring in the year, which they see as the beginning the Year of every year.

MSU International Center (Josh Sneed)

Josh Sneed " I can't speak for all comedians, but I think most would agree that no matter how much we love what we do, once in a while you lose sight of the intangibles that come with the territory. The perks, if you will. Sure, we get to see this country. We get to pay our bills (hopefully) by making people laugh. We get to be our own boss and provide a product that can affect people in countless ways."

It was a new atmosphere with distinctive character and fun, where we touch to American culture, and the nature of narrative comic, and I met a lot of colleagues and friends. Where we sat down and pick up many pictures, and we spent a good time.

I went to Music Building Aiudtorium because today had studant recital for Horn. The recital have 4 part. First, play Horn with Piano. Second, recital for Horn. third, play Horn with Piano. Fourth, ensemble with Horn. The one hour long played these recital but I wasn't boring because I interested these recital.

MSU vs. U of M tennis match game (fifth event)

Wonderful day!!
I attended MSU vs. University of Michigan match game on March 5. This match game is open spring and fall every year regullaly. Our team was exercise last two month for this match game. I heard that U of M was also exercise during three month in order to win this spring game. This day our team(MSU) was win.
MSU was win 14games and U of M was win 10 games. This match game was 24games total and  attend player was 12person each teams. MSU was also win last fall match game. I was so tired after 4 games but we were very  happy.

Today, Guest artist recital in music Building Auditorium. but I couldn't find Auditorium but some person help to me so I can find that. but I didn't into the Auditorium because begin to event then don't into the Auditorium. so I waited front fo Auditorium. After 10min, somepeople came out. They were going to bathroom then open the door, so I could into the Auditorium. saxophone and guitar have

very nice sounds. I had wonderful time so I was happy.

NO,7 " Coffee hour play game "

On 25/2 , I went to the International Center . There was different plan form last coffee hour. It was new plan and good plan . When I came to it. I saw many international students there . I sat with some students . They played strange game . When I watched them. Someone was asking me to trying this game. I enjoyed of this game. Then I was moving to other students . They were playing other game form last game . I watched them . This event was different from last event . Because it used new way to the students sat together . I talked with some students about how we knowledge this games. I like some games, It was so fantastic for me .

NO,6 " Coffee hour "

On February 18th, I went to best event for me. It was coffee hour . The event helps any student to practice spoke English language with anyone. This event I meet american student. He came to this event for spoke. His from California state. He visited at MSU. He studied japanese language. He liked to learned many language. He thought to learned Spanish , Chinese language and Arabic language. I enjoyed when I talked with him .

NO,5 " Break Dance "

On Saturday, June 29/11 I went to International Center. There was strange songs. There were two men. One of them was song and another man played guitar. It was name this event "Break Dance " He songs different songs, some of them so interesting . Because he used his throat. It was so amazing . After that, there were some students. They dance strange dance . I didn't watch it before. They played two teams. Which were good dance of them. I enjoyed when I watched this dance and listened songs. I sat around 2 hours for watched it .

International Coffee Hour 3 ( The ninth event )

On 4 March..I went to International Center coffee hour . like usual there were

many people talk to each other ,but This time it was different event . There was

competitions between people and there was gift for the winer . After we register

our names, each thirty minutes the person who showed his or hir name will get

free book . This thing added more excitement ,and also there was like small galleryfor women.This not all , also there was free movie for guests , but they need to check up on to watch the movie . This movie will show on 19th March and talk about history presented by Malaysian students . On other side I have nice conversation with someone from South korea . We talked about plans for spring break . He said he will go to chicago today and he will try to find appartment . Actually I had nice time in coffee hour and I like the activities they do it every week .It was really nice hour .

No, 4 " Coffee hour "

In 11/2/2011, I went to international center. There was " Coffee hour". I talked it about this event before. When I came there . I meet with someone. He was student in MSU. His named Amir Pasha. He studied civil engineering. Also his from Iran. I talked with him about major. And we talked about history his country. He told me about it. I had some questions about that. There was many of students. It was good event for students. I was enjoy for this event .

No, 3 " Salsa spectacular"

On February 14th, I went to international center. There was amazing dance. It was different form my country , and also of USA. It was Spanish dance . It named this event " salsa spectacular". There were many of attendance. It was strange music and dance for me. I didn't watch it before. But I like it this. There were some of attendance were dancing while I was watching. There was one of teachers . I forgot her name. An teacher came up to me. Then she said " that room was lesson of dance you can tried" I went with my friend to them. there were some students . They were doing . I didn't know how I can dance. But the teacher of dance learned me how I did . I tried to dance. It was amazing for me . It was good event.

Coffee Shop

Last Friday, after my classes, I went with a couple of my friends to the coffee shop in the international center. While I was there, I also saw two of my friends Jessica and Amanda. I haven"t seen both of them in six months. It was very nice to catch up with them. Jessica just got married and Amanda moved to a new apartment. My Indian friend, Asheesh, was telling us about his cultiral shock. He talked about the differences between the US and his counry India. For example, he mentioned the way female Indians dress more conservatively then American women. I could relate to him since I went through a cultural shock when I first came to the US. I had to get used to a lot of issues such as the society being individual oriented. My other friends were celebrating the resignation of their president Mubarak in Egypt. It was very nice to be able to share these happy moments with my Egyptian friends. It"s always nice to hang out with friends and talk with them.

Yoga Exercise

Today, I went with two of my friends Nayef and Ashraf to the yoga event at MSU. We weren"t able take picttures since the yoga members didn"t allow us to take any. We watched them doing these different that my friends and I weren"t familiar with. I believe that yoga takes a lot of flexibility in the body. It was nice to see how much people can relax after doing all these exercises. We couldn"t go inside and do any yoga. However, we stayed outside and looked at the instructors performing all different exercises. We tried some of those exercises because we weren"t that flexible to do them all. It was fun to learn more about yoga and it was my first time to see someone doing yoga in person.

On 26 February , in international center there was amazing event. It talked about "The world's most animated hypnotist". There was someone was doing it. He choose some students around 7. After that he asked them to sat on the chairs. And also he asked them to relax and closed their eyes. When they did this. He asked them some questions about what they felt. For example " he said to them right now is very cold, there were doing like shudder. Then he change to situation their . He said right now is very hot. They were doing like hotter.Some of them were took of his clothes. They looked like so funny. I and the attendances were very for us. He came someone of them. A student closed his eyes. He made conversation with his. The student spoke strange language for us. He was do anything laughed for the attendances. I really enjoyed of this event.

Willis Tower ( The seventh event by Mathkur )

Today, During my visit to chicago. I went to Willis Tower with my family. It's one of the highest building in Chicago, It contains 103 floor and you can see far over the plains of Illinois and across Lake Michigan to Indiana, Michigan and Wisconsin on a clear day. On the top of this tower, we had an exciting experience " skydece". I was standing on closed glasses balcony on 1451 foot hight. I was in the sky and the hale buildings and streets under my feet. It was a beautifule view. I won't forget this feeling. I took a lot of pictures with my daughter and my wife, We spent a greet time there.

Millenium Park ( The sixth event by Mathkur )

Yesterday, I went to Chicago with my family by car. We went to Millenium Park and Ice Skating. This place in downtown Chicago against the spectacular backdrop of Michigan Avenue and the city skyline. When I arrived there, the area was so beautiful and very charming. I spoke to a group of friendly American people. They asked me about my homecountry and my study speciality. In the middle of Millenium Park, I get knowledge of the unparalleled architecture, sculpture and landscape design that made Millenium Park an International destination, It was so crowded area, Everyone tried to take pictures in different positions around this unique design. I'm glade that we took pictures me and my family for this memorial visit.

International Coffee Hour ( The fifth event by Mathkur )

On March 4, I went to International Coffee Hour. I met with Japanese person again, so I,m very happy fot that. I talked again about the ELC, The levels and a way study in the ELC. He told me that he would leave the United State two weeks from now. He was sad because he cannot due to the US only after two years, but at the same time he was very happy because he will meet his family. I told him if come again to the US, You will find me in the academic study because I will complete my study ( Masters, PHD). Then there was an event for Women's Resource Center. There was a sign written on it " Sign up for Today's Drawing" that means if you sign up your name, maybe you will win a book about"the dreams". I registered my name, but I didn't win in this book because I'm not lucky. Actually, I enjoyed a lot to go there. I'm very happy because I get to know many people and many cultures.

On 26 febryary in internaional Center there was a great event .

while I was coming early, Many people were coming there . I was very excited to watch the show . Comedy hypnotisi Joshua Seth was there . I really really enjoyed to wach the show. He chose some people and asked them to close them eyes . Then he looks like control them mind .He was talking and They were do many things and moves . It seems he control their feelings. It really an incredible show .Joshua Seth unique character . He made alot of fun and I was laughing hard . Unfortunately the time was running out but I can say I'm happy to watch amazing show .

No.5 girl's popular dancing meeting

Before the last week, I went to meet girls will be the most popular dance, when I arrived here, I really felt the impact of dance on the girls. When the music think of the time, people will not hesitate to beat up the body. In fact, I was into, I am lost because I had been in ballet and jazz, but then I found other fun, so I lost the two dance. Now think of it, I hate them I can not keep going on. But lost is lost, I have to accept them.A sister is a sophomore popular street dance school, her name is Barbie. This dance is my favorite now, I just do not have time, if I have time, I will choose to study it. Barbie told me then, popular hip-hop with electronic music to be together, and then that feeling you can feel it. It really is cool, so beautiful! Yes, I enjoyed everything here.

Last Wednesday, in MSU union,I told my friend to talk to the girls will meet the academic psychology, this picture is my friend, a junior psychology student with the photos, this meeting will be really interesting because a lot of school psychology with Many students are having a good time. A girl named Susan, a junior in psychology, told me a lot about human psychology to explore the topic was very interesting to me, she gave me some mental pictures.Which most interested me a lot of high school students about suicide or something. Susan told me that when their brains can not withstand the weight of grief when their psychological burden of the load too, they all will be in the brain out of control, and then only to hear their own voice. Then lost the most precious life. From this meeting will be, I deeply feel the importance of life, a person living in this world, not only to your own live, but also for your parents live.

In 25/2/2010, I went to Coffee Hour to do practice.First, I wrote my name and my country's name. There were a lot of games. i was deciding which game I preferd. Then i choes a ONU, because it was my favorite when i was child. Also ONU was easy for me. While i was playing, i was practicing pronunciation. I was so excited. After that, I went to play another game ,and i choes an Chess game. It was very difficult for me ,but it was so interesting. I was useful.

The 2011 Graduation Ceremony (The fourth event)

On Feb. 27, I attended 2011 VIPP Spring Graduation Ceremony on MSU. The place was University Club Michigan State University and had two hours at 11:30am~1:30Pm. The progam started Opening Remark by Ravi Interim Directer, VIPP and Congratulatory Remarks, Certificate Presentation, Valedictory of Graduate, Closing Remarks. The graduate was eleven Chinese and three Korean totaly fourteen people.
That day, The Ceremony attended about ninety people include professor, family and special guest. I invited the special guest in VIPP.

International Coffee Hour 2 ( The seventh event )

On february 25..I was exciting to meet new people and spend good time with them in international . As usual there are many people were doing activity . First I met lady from U.S . and we were talking about study and Michigan such as the weather . Then we were sitting on a big table and we plyed game as group.It called UNO . While I was playing , I was drinkingcoffee .We were enjoing the game . When I had one card , I thought I will win ,but unfortunately I took douple of cards . I was not lucky , but I was happy to play with different people and talk .

Unfortunately the time was running out. Maybe one day I will be the winner . In brief I really had great time and I'm glad .
