In 3-25 2011 I was in coffee hour in International center. I met a lot of friends from different country, from Egypt, Ukraine, China, Pakistan and Iran. Some people told me that today is a special day for Iranian students Because today is the first day of the Iranian year. I did not know this before. There was a lot of sweets and chocolate. it was a good day and pappy day.
I have never heard of the Iranian year. So it begins at the end of March? That sounds a strange time to start a new year, but in Japan, a new school year begins in April.
